With the ability to reach out and communicate with millions of patients everyday, the Internet has changed the way people are looking to handle their healthcare. Founded in 1997, Secure Medical is a leading provider of comprehensive eHealth solutions. Secure Medical began as the development entity of the first fully integrated Internet pharmacy to practice online prescribing. Since then Secure Medical has evolved into a full service organization, not only doing development for it's founding partner, but also expanding its services to many of the other organizations who also work within the Internet prescribing arena.

Challenge:

The online prescription drug industry is one of the most fiercely competitive marketplaces on the Internet. Given that the objective was to successfully market the industry's most highly contested product, Viagra, the campaign would require a skilled and creative effort. Secure Medical challenged USWeb to develop a strategy to acquire new customers in an aggressive, yet cost effective manner.

Strategy:

USWeb developed a strategy to reach out to a highly targeted audience with a relevant and compelling call to action at the point-of-purchase.

Outcome:

The initial $2,500 campaign yielded the following impressive results:

  • Successful completion of 81 out of 91 total orders
  • $15,850.00 in Total Revenue
  • 634% Return on Investment!

Footnote: These numbers are based solely on new sales that were generated from the campaign. Given that the majority of the client's initial orders result in recurring revenue, ROI figures for this campaign are expected to make these already extraordinary results that much more impressive.
